Sick and Tired...but Happy!

Well, it's been another week.

And it's been uneventful for the most part. :)
Tom and I are both sick with a cold that seems to be both long-lasting and deadly. We are finally starting to feel better, but it really seems to be looming. And on top of that, our poor little JT is teething! It's been a rough week. :) But, because of it, we've spent most of the week home. The week consisted of eating, laying in bed, blowing noses, taking medicine, and Netflix....lots of Netflix. :)
Three sickos....:)
We did take my car into a mechanic on Saturday. Poor Ruby is SUPER sick. They are thinking she needs a new power steering pump. And...even though early last year we just got all new tires, they must have done something to the alignment because 8 months later, Ruby's two front tires were out of commission. So, she needs two front tires, an alignment, and probably a power steering pump. They said she should be down tomorrow morning. It'll be nice to have my car back again!

Tom started school today. There was a mix-up with classes, so we had to drive up to Weber State to get his schedule worked out and buy his books. He's taking 13 credits and working graveyards full-time out at Kennecott. He's a hard-working man and I am SO grateful for him. Since we got home from Alaksa a year and a half ago, and we found out I was pregnant, he's been doing both school and work. On top of all this, he was taking care of me and now JT. He's a good man and a fantastic dad. I regularly look at him and recognize how blessed I am to have such a wonderful man in my life! I am a bundle of crazy, and he's always been patient with it. I'm so, so, so blessed to have this wonderful, handsome man as my husband.

JT is growing WAY TOO FAST! He's a little over six months and he is wearing 9 months clothes. He's a tall boy! He gets up on his hands and knees and rocks himself back and forth as well as holding himself in a sitting up position (although he has not quite perfected it!). :) He can pull himself up onto his knees when he's grabbing
onto the side of his bed and just getting so strong! I am amazing every day by the strength of my miracle baby. He's so smart, funny, loving, and strong. Much like his daddy. He works hard every day to learn new things and discover. His curiosity gets him in to some trouble, but nothing that a smile and his bright eyes can't get him out of. :) He can move pretty fast though, so for Christmas we bought him a "baby corral". It gates him so that we can leave the room to make dinner or run to the bathroom and not have to worry about what he'll get into while we're gone. He is eating more and more solid foods. He LOVES fruit, but does not seem to like bananas. He has had some frozen strawberries in his mesh teether and really loves the flavor. However, this increase in solids has also given him some gas and tummy hurts. His physical therapist (he comes once a month because JT was in the NICU when he was born) suggested putting prune juice in his oatmeal, but I haven't been brace enough yet. :) W1e are so proud of how strong he his and what a happy baby he is. He makes everyone around him smile. Even when his sick parents felt like we were dying, he knew just what to do to create some giggles. :)

  1. That kid is just ADORABLE. :) I'm sorry the cold from down south is still a problem. I hope you get better soon-- I miss you!
